Apply for dual credit at Blinn
If you’re considering taking dual credit classes, then you should check out Blinn College. With their extensive offerings, students can earn up to 60 college credits while obtaining their high school diploma. You’ll also receive a permanent transcript at the end of the semester. However, to get started, you’ll need to fill out some forms and follow a few procedures.
First, you should be aware of the Blinn College District’s open admissions policy. Unlike most colleges, the district does not require you to submit an application in person. You can apply online by visiting their website. Once you’ve completed the application, you’ll be able to register for classes at any of their locations.
You can register for your classes through your myBLINN account. You’ll need to set a password and activate your account. In addition, you’ll need to take the Pre-assessment activity before you can register for any courses.
Next, you’ll need to complete the Dual Credit Approval form. You can find this form by clicking on the Admission Forms tab. Once you’ve filled out the form, you’ll need to upload the score sheet to your Blinn account.
Register for Blinn courses
If you’re a new student, you’ll need to set up your Blinn email account before you can register for Blinn courses. Once you do, you’ll be able to take your classes online. This is a great way to stay on top of your schedule, and you’ll be able to make friends.
After you have set up your Blinn email account, you’ll need to go to the MyBLINN portal and activate your account. This will give you the ability to register for classes and manage your schedule. You’ll also be able to get hands-on experience with the Blinn College course management system.
You’ll also need to complete a pre-assessment activity. These are designed to help you determine if you’re ready to take courses at Blinn. If you’re not prepared for a class, you can drop it. However, if you fail a course, you’ll have to pay the tuition. If you’re a new student, it’s best to wait until your first semester to register for your classes.
In addition to your EFC, the Department of Education also considers your family’s income and expenses. You will need to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to be considered for a Pell Grant. You can calculate your expected family contribution by completing a Pell Grant calculator.
The amount of your Pell Grant will depend on your expenses and the number of students in your family. Your family must have an income that is below a set limit. If your EFC is above the limit, you may not be eligible for a grant.
